Chief Justice  Martha Koome, in a gazette notice dated Friday, May 2, has designated 132 courts across the country with the mandate to handle labour-related cases.  "PURSUANT to paragraph 5(2) of the Employment and Labour Relations Court Act, the Chief Justice designates the Judge of the Court set out in the second column of the Schedule hereto to be responsible for the sub-registry set out in the third column with supervisory jurisdiction over the Magistrates Courts set out in the fifth column and the place of suing and hearing for the purposes of paragraph 6(1) of the Rules shall be construed accordingly," she stated.   In Nairobi County, the courts include Milimani Commercial Courts, Kibera, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) Law Courts, Dagoretti Law Courts, and Makadara Law Courts.

In Kajiado, the law courts are the Kajiado, Loitoktok Law Courts, and the  Ngong Courts.

Photo JSC Machakos County: the courts will include the Machakos Kithimani, Kangundo, Wamunyu,  and the Mavoko Law Courts, while in Makueni, the CJ has selected the Makueni, Tawa, Kilungu, and the Makindu Law Courts.
