Motorists traversing the busy Nakuru-Eldoret highway will have to contend with slow traffic after an accident involving a matatu, a trailer, and a lorry happened at Equator in the Mumberes area of the highway.
In images seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the matatu, registered to Climax Coaches Sacco, was seen stuck on the side of the road while a truck had its front cabin destroyed.
Although the number of casualties from the accident has yet to be confirmed, unverified reports from social media reveal that there are fatalities.
Similar reports have revealed that ambulance rescue teams and police are at the scene conducting rescue operations.
