Gusii-based FKF Premier League side Shabana suffered a narrow defeat after they lost 1-0 to Gor Mahia in a tense match at Gusii stadium on Sunday.

The match kicked off 45 minutes later than scheduled after fans from both teams clashed earlier in the day, leaving at least 52 people nursing injuries in various hospitals within Kisii town.

Both teams settled well into the game in the first half and the score remained 0-0 going into the halftime break.

The second half began with Gor Mahia searching for a breakthrough and in the 79th minute, Sylvester Owino's header put Kogalo ahead to grab the three points for the visitors.
