Business at the Office of the County Governor in Elgeyo Marakwet was disrupted on Monday, May 5, after irate citizens stormed the premises.
The residents, who were mostly traders, attempted to infiltrate the offices in protest against Governor Wisley Rotich's move to eject them from Iten Town.
Armed with placards and tree branches, the residents knocked on the county officers' doors, protesting against plans to set up a mall in a piece of land where they ply their trade.
Shouts of "Where will we go?" ran in the air as tens of traders demanded a way forward from the county government regarding their relocation.
