The source of revenue generated in Vihiga County has been boosted over the past two years, thanks to the automation of the process.
Governor Dr.
Wilber Ottichilo announced that at least Sh 340 million was raised in the financial year 2023-2024, up from Sh. 240 the previous year since the inception of the cashless transaction systems.
He said the automated new system has sealed the loopholes that allowed pilferage of revenue under the manual system but expressed optimism that the additional KSh. 400 million was projected financial year.
