Kasipul MP Charles Ong'ondo Were died from excessive bleeding, according to an autopsy conducted by the Government Pathologist, Johansen Oduor.  The autopsy has revealed the exact cause of death of Were, who was fatally shot on Wednesday, April 30, along Ngong Road.

The MP suffered five gunshot wounds, with bullets tearing through his vital organs.

According to Oduor, the lawmaker passed away from excessive bleeding and the collapse of vital organs in his body.

At the time of Were's shooting, the assailant, who had been trailing him on a motorcycle, disembarked from his bike before firing a firearm at least five times at the lawmaker.
