President William Ruto has insisted that the infamous slogan against him, which has been more publicised by his political nemesis, will not be enough to unseat him in 2027.
Speaking at the opening of several development projects in Nyatike, Migori County, the president criticised his political opponents for allegedly lacking a plan and instead inciting anti-government sentiment with chants of 'Ruto must go'. "I want to tell these people chanting 'Must Go': before you say 'Must Go', first come up with policies for the people," Ruto told the crowd as he detailed his development agenda in Migori and the greater Nyanza region. "We have plans to build roads, we are connecting electricity, we have affordable housing, and we are building markets.
What have you planned? 'Must Go' is not a plan, and it's not a policy," the Head of State added, cautioning the opposition that he would be a difficult person to unseat without a proper plan from his rivals.
