National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula asked members of the public, as well as the cameras, to leave the home of the slain Ksipul Member of Parliament  Charles Ong'ondo Were, an incident that has many tongues wagging online.

Wetang'ula, who was leading a delegation of legislators to console Were's family in Karen, requested everyone, apart from the MPs, to leave the house.  According to the Speaker, this was to allow for the parties to discuss some private matters and issues about the Were with the family. "Lastly, Honourable Members, I have some issues to discuss with the family.

For MP, it is no secret because this can happen to anyone.

May I request that everybody leave us so that I can talk to the family?" he said.
