Three villages in Khwisero Constituency have completed the wayleave signing process, setting the stage for the commencement of last-mile electricity connection under the rural electrification program.
Residents of Ekonjero, Emakuche, and Emukhunzulu signed the wayleave consent forms granting legal access for installation of electricity infrastructure on the private land.
Area MP Christopher Aseka said the move clears a major administrative hurdle ahead of physical construction works.
Aseka while speaking in his constituency yesterday, welcomed the progress and called it a significant milestone in the constituency's energy access agenda. "This marks another important step in our broader agenda to ensure that no village in Khwisero is left behind," he said.
