Senate Speaker Amason Kingi on Wednesday, May 7, urged Senators to file a censure motion against Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi for skipping Senate summons.

While addressing the House, Kingi acknowledged the lamentations of the Senators after Mbadi communicated he would not be able to attend his scheduled session with the Upper House, albeit on a short notice.

Kingi encouraged the lawmakers to take significant action against Mbadi and other CSs notorious for skipping the sessions without proper communication beforehand.

As per the Speaker, this would help restore the House's respect and discourage contemptuous behaviour from the senior government officials. "I have heard your frustrations, concerns and disappointments.
