The United Democratic Alliance Party (UDA) has come out strongly to refute claims of mass defections by its members in Embu County, labeling the reports as fraudulent and politically motivated.

Speaking at a press briefing in Embu Town, UDA Mt.

Kenya East Coordinator Albert Mutani described the allegations of a political walkout as a "sham staged by imposters." He asserted that those behind the claims were not recognised members of the party, accusing them of orchestrating a publicity stunt to mislead the public and sow confusion. "These individuals are not on any official party list or registry.

What they are doing is impersonation, plain and simple," Mutani stated. "We are considering legal action against them for misrepresenting themselves as UDA officials." Supporting the coordinator's sentiments, Embu County UDA administrator Lawrence Kamugane denounced the claims as baseless and misleading.
