On Sunday night, a Nairobi-bound matatu was involved in a grisly road accident at Jua Kali in Tetu, Nyeri County, causing panic among residents and other road users who witnessed the incident.
The matatu, a minibus popularly known as 'Upper Cut', was reportedly being driven recklessly before it lost control and overturned in the middle of the road.
Videos and images obtained by Kenyans.co.ke showed the matatu with its full disco lights still on and the music blasting loudly amid the chaos and confusion.
Additionally, female voices could be heard screaming for help from the wreckage of the matatu that had disrupted normal activities on the road.
