Expreso Sacco has broken its silence after one of its matatus overturned and injured passengers on Sunday, May 11.
The vehicle, popularly known as "Upper Cut", was caught on video being recklessly driven before it eventually lost control and crashed, leaving several passengers with injuries.
A day after the incident, the Sacco confirmed that one staff member lost his life as a result of the accident, while four others were in critical condition. "Expreso Ltd deeply regrets to confirm that a tragic road accident involving one of our vehicles occurred on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Jua Kali in Tetu, Nyeri County," the statement read.
