It was a heartbreaking moment for the family of Hannah Waithera, a businesswoman who operated a shop along Kenyatta Avenue in Nakuru city, after her body was later discovered at the Nakuru City Morgue on Wednesday.
According to Waithera's mother, Mary Njeri, in a video obtained by Kenyans.co.ke, they discovered Hannah's body covered in grass and dumped in a dam in the Soilo neighbourhood of Nakuru after nearby residents complained of an unpleasant stench. ''She was found in a dam full of dirty water in Soilo, and then they covered her body with hay.
What will I tell her child?' the heartbroken mother said while wailing in pain.
On May 21, Waithera left her workstation to deposit over Ksh250,000 in one of the banks in Nakuru city centre. That was the last time the 23-year-old was seen or heard from.
