Information, Communications and the Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary (CS) William Kabogo is calling for the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) among Public Relations Professionals.
Speaking during the official opening of the 36th African Public Relations Association (APRA) Annual Conference in Mombasa, Kabogo underscored the growing influence of AI in shaping public discourse and information sharing.
Themed: Transforming Africa through Safe and Responsible Digital Communication', the conference brings together communication professionals from across the continent to deliberate on the evolving role of public relations in the AI era. "The future of PR is not a distant prospect; it is already taking shape before our very eyes.
We witness it in the velocity of news dissemination, in the influence of Digital creators and in how AI systems are informing content creation," stated the CS.
