Mathioya MP, Edwin Mugo, has revealed members of the National Assembly are pursuing adequate funding to schools' capitation and ensure they are released timely so as to safeguard schools' property from being auctioned by suppliers.

Mugo on Friday said delays in release of funds for capitation to schools have also occasioned school principals to be in dilemma and as well send students to home for fees.

He blamed the delay on the misalignment between the national budget and revenue collected by the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA). "The biggest issue we face is that the budget doesn't align with cash flow.
