In a notice published on Wednesday, Cyrell Odede, the Treasury Principal Secretary in charge of Public Investments and Asset Management, revealed that the new system will require all consultants, contractors and suppliers trading with the national and county governments to register.
According to the PS, the rollout of the e-GP system is in line with President William Ruto's directive in his State of the Nation address on November 21, 2024 that the National Treasury should roll out the system by the first quarter of 2025.
The system is set to launch on July 1.
