At least 13 people are feared dead after an accident involving a 14-seater PSV and a trailer along the busy Nairobi-Nakuru highway on the morning of Sunday, September 28. In images obtained by Kenyans.co.ke, the PSV is sprawled on the side of the highway, with the trailer a few yards ahead.
The accident took place at the Kariandusi area near Gilgil.
It remains unclear how the accident took place, although preliminary reports suggest that two vehicles were involved in a collision as the PSV was badly mangled on the front side.
Three people were left nursing grave injuries from the accident. The trailer, meanwhile, had part of its body on the road and was lying on its side in a ditch, indicating it lost control before coming to a stop.
