A fire gutted Musa House near OTC area in downtown Nairobi early Thursday morning following an overnight arson attack reportedly carried out by unidentified goons.
The blaze, whose exact cause is yet to be confirmed, razed a large section of the building, with witnesses linking it to the group that stormed the premises. Traders operating from the premises were left counting massive losses, describing the incident as a double tragedy as earlier in the day during the demos their shops had been looted by goons.
Fire trucks from the Nairobi County government managed to arrive at the scene on time and managed to extinguish the fire before it could spread to adjacent buildings.
