Narok County has officially launched measles-rubella (MR) and Typhoid Conjugate Vaccines (TCV) for children to guard them against preventable diseases.
The campaign, which began Sunday, will run until Monday, July 14, 2025, and aims to immunise children against the two preventable diseases.
Children aged 9 months to 5 years will receive the MR vaccine, while those aged 9 months to 14 years will be administered the TCV vaccine.
Speaking during the official flag-off ceremony held in Narok Town, Assistant County Commissioner Brian Kivuti, who represented the County Commissioner, emphasised the importance of the campaign in protecting the health and future of the county's children. "This vaccination campaign is a crucial step in safeguarding our children from diseases that are not only preventable but potentially fatal if ignored.
