Migori Chief Officer for Public Health and Sanitation, Ms Mable Chanzu, has called upon county residents to take their children for the Typhoid Vaccine (TCV) and Measles Rubella Vaccine (MR) to protect their loved ones and reduce child mortality.
Speaking during the Typhoid Vaccine (TCV) and Measles Rubella Vaccine (MR) Campaign in Awendo Sub County, Chanzu said that the campaign will incorporate education stakeholders to facilitate access to vaccinate school-going children.
The drive aims to immunise children against typhoid and measles, two avoidable yet potentially deadly diseases.
The Typhoid Vaccine (TCV) provides long-lasting protection against typhoid fever, which can cause severe illness, especially in areas with limited access to clean water and sanitation.
