Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has advised popular Mugithi musician Samidoh Muchoki to stick to his singing career and avoid being drawn into the politics of influence.

Speaking in the United States, the former DP cautioned the musician against falling prey to politicians attempting to manipulate artists into singing their praises. "The other day I saw you among the musicians who had gone to Karen to visit Kindiki.

I want to tell you, stick to music, your work is to entertain us, don't let politicians influence you," Gachagua told Samidoh, who was among those he was addressing.

Gachagua was referring to an incident in May, when DP Kithure Kindiki summoned Mount Kenya artists to Karen.
