From the streets to the digital space, including social media, mobile apps and other online platforms, digital activism to demand accountability in leadership has significantly gained traction.

Notably, the voices of the youth are loud enough and have been heard in several instances.

In 2024, the #rejectFinanceBill2024 hashtag trended for days on end, with X (formerly Twitter), TikTok and Instagram becoming a battleground for civic expression and in the end, the digital uproar translated into action on the ground.
