According to a County Treasury Report, the Sh5.4 billion collected in revenue by June 30 represents a 19 per cent increase over the Sh4.6 billion collected in the 2024-2025 Financial Year, approximating a Sh900 million growth.
Speaking at the County Government Own Source Revenue stocktakingevent held at the County Headquarters, Governor Kimani Wamatangi attributed the boost to the automation of revenue systems, a move that sealed theft loopholes at the point of collection, allowing for the increase without hiking existing fees or levies.
