The Kenya Meteorological Department has urged Kenyans in several regions to brace for continued rain, cold, and windy conditions that are expected to prevail this week.
In its latest forecast for the week, the weatherman said that Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley, and North-Western Kenya will receive continued rain this week.
Furthermore, the coast region is expected to be hit by strong southerly to south-easterly winds with speeds exceeding 25 knots (12.86 m/s) during this period.
Residents in Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka, and Nairobi counties are expected to experience sunny intervals during the morning for most of the week, apart from Friday and Saturday, when morning rains are expected to hit some of the places.
