2,679 Kenyans applied for the 150 positions recently advertised by the Judiciary Service Commission (JSC), according to the latest notice by the commission.

Confirming the huge turnout in a notice on Tuesday, July 15, the commission revealed that it would be moving on to the next phase of the application process, which is processing the applications. "The public is assured that the recruitment process will be conducted strictly in accordance with the Constitution and all applicable laws.

The JSC remains firmly committed to the principles of meritocracy, fairness, transparency and integrity in all its operations," JSC stated.

The application window, which closed on July 7, invited 150 applicants in different positions, including 20 High Court judges, 15 Court of Appeal judges and 10 Environment and Land Court judges.
