The County Government of Kiambu has announced a full waiver of all medical bills for residents who sustained injuries during the recent protest activities across the county.
Speaking on Monday, the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Health Services, Dr.
Elias Maina, said the decision was reached following consultations with key stakeholders in the health and emergency response sectors.
He emphasised that the county's move is aimed at cushioning families already grappling with the emotional and physical toll of the unrest. "We are aware that many of our people were caught up in the unfortunate chaos and ended up in our health facilities, some with serious injuries.
