Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldiers are expected to be deployed in Nakuru County to oversee the completion of several stalled infrastructural projects, the Ministry of Defence has revealed.

In a statement on Wednesday, July 16, the ministry said that the forces will oversee the completion of the Afraha Stadium, Olenguruone Stadium, and the Trauma Centre at Nakuru Teaching and Referral Hospital, which will be in collaboration with the Nakuru county government.

The decision was made after the Defence Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya held a meeting with Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika and other county officials on Tuesday, July 15.

The ministry did not, however, disclose the exact day when the soldiers will be dispatched. "The Cabinet Secretary and the Governor discussed priority Government infrastructure projects to be implemented by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) through Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) in Nakuru County," KDF stated.
