Suba West Deputy County Commissioner Samson Diero Akach has warned residents against witchcraft, which he is linking to the mysterious disappearance of persons and loss of speech among victims.
Akach said he has got intelligence information from the community that there is a family in Mfangano Island that uses magic powers to abduct people or make someone dumb.
The families use a strange method of abducting people whom they take to unknown places.
According to Akach, when they want to abduct someone, they can shout the name of the person they want to abduct.
