In the wake of the government's move to increase fuel prices, Public Service Vehicle (PSV) operators are now ditching petrol for cheaper alternatives.

In its July review, the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) recently hiked the prices of fuel significantly, increasing Super Petrol by Ksh8.99, diesel by Ksh8.67 and kerosene by Ksh9.65.

The increase in fuel prices has since forced motorists to find creative ways of coping with the changes, with some resorting to the use of Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG).

According to a taxi driver, he decided to convert his vehicle to use LPG as a cheaper alternative, adding that it has, in the long run, saved him a lot of money.
