Cabinet Secretaries Geoffrey Ruku, Eric Mugaa, and Julius Ogamba have made a raft of appointments across their ministries.
Through a gazette notice, Public Service CS Geoffrey Ruku appointed Lewis Nyaribo Oburu as a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management Council, representing the Nyanza and Western Region, for three years. "In exercise of the powers conferred by regulation 4(1) of the Human Resource Management Professionals (Elections to the Council) Regulations, 2015, as read together with section 7(1)(d) of the Human Resource Management Professionals Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes appoints Lewis Nyaribo Oburu to be a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management Council, representing Nyanza and Western Region, for three years," the notice read.
Before his appointment, Oburu worked in the County Government of Kisii until he was dismissed.
Oburu, together with other county employees, went to court, with the matter still pending.
