Moi Boarding Primary School and Junior Secondary School in Ijara sub-county, Garissa County, has emerged Soccer champions in Garissa County Soccer officials led by Abdul Nurow revealed that Masalani Moi Primary edged out Iftin Primary and JS of Township sub-county 4-2 in post-match penalty shootouts in a thrilling final match played at Garissa Boys High School.
According to Nurow, the area sports chairperson, the victory brought Masalani town to a standstill as teachers, pupils and local fans stormed the town in jubilation to celebrate the victory Masalani Moi Primary School had earlier thrashed other teams during preliminaries, including Sankuri Primary, Fafi Primary and Hulugho Primary School.
Parents and teachers commended the Headteacher, Mr Ali Ahmed Hassan, players and their coaches for the good performance through diligence and teamwork.
