Several passengers were injured early Sunday morning after a bus they were travelling in was involved in a multi-vehicle accident at Bukembe, Bungoma County.

The crash, which occurred at around 4am on July 20, involved a Greenline bus ferrying over 65 passengers from Nairobi to Bungoma, a saloon car, a trailer, and a lorry.

The bus was forced to veer off the road, landing on its side.

Images and videos obtained by Kenyans.co.ke showed passengers crying and scrambling to escape the wreckage.
