There was drama along a Nakuru-Nyahururu highway heading towards Subukia town on the afternoon of Sunday, July 20 when a convoy from the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) was blocked and teargased by police.

The convoy, which was led key DCP leaders including the party's deputy Cleophas Malala, was blocked from proceeding to Subukia town by a police road block, leading to a minor snarl-up.

Hours earlier, the leaders attended a church service at Subukia AIC in Nakuru County and were expected to proceed to Subukia town to address residents.

However, authorities, who caught wind of the leaders' presence in Subukia, manned roadblocks as they blocked the leaders from conducting a political rally.
