Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has alleged that the police in Nakuru County have reached out to him, claiming they have been receiving orders from Governor Susan Kihika's husband, Sam Mburu.
Speaking in Boston hours after his team was teargassed in Subukia, Nakuru County, Gachagua claimed that the police officers had revealed to him Mburu's influence in the county stemmed from a close business relationship with President Ruto. "I have talked to the police in Nakuru, and they are crying.
They are saying that the husband of Governor Susan Kihika, called Sam Mburu, is the one who is giving instructions to police," Gachagua claimed.
Gachagua further alleged that the police officers had decried the Nakuru first gentleman's claim that while Governor Kihika is in charge of the county government, he is in charge of the operations of the national government.
