Cabinet Secretary (CS), for National Treasury and Economic Planning John Mbadi, has called on Kenyans to give the government credit for what it has accomplished instead of criticising everything it does.
Mbadi, who spoke at a church fundraiser in Suna West Sub- County in Migori, said that the government has done so much, but a lot of negative criticism continues to be propagated by a section of Kenyans.
The CS disclosed that in the last Financial Year (FY), 2024/25, the Treasury released all the County allocations totaling Sh415 billion to the counties, including all the arrears of the FY 2023/24, portraying the government's commitment to ensure devolution works.
He also noted that the Treasury released all the money for the National Government-Constituencies Development Funds (NG-CDF) for the end of the FY 2024/25, to promote development across the country, with a 94 percent utilisation success of the development budget.
