Senior State House official Dennis Itumbi has revealed that President William Ruto was among the government officials who contributed to the funeral arrangements of comedian Zakaria Kariuki, commonly known as KK Mwenyewe.
In a statement on his official X account, Itumbi stated that the Head of State contributed Ksh1 million, while Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika contributed Ksh200,000.
Furthermore, Itumbi noted that other leaders, including Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung'wah and Lari Member of Parliament Mburu Kahangara, also made contributions.
Itumbi confirmed the donations as he joined other content creators for a candlelighting event on Monday, July 21, to remember the renowned comedian, who he said left a significant void in the nation's comedy scene.
