The directors of Human Resources Management and Development (HRMD) in ministries and State departments will soon be evaluated by the Public Service Commission (PSC).
These changes were announced by PSC Vice Chairperson Mary Kimonye on Tuesday, July 22, during a consultative forum with the senior management of the State Department for Basic Education.
According to Kimonye, this new step will address concerns about the non-compliance of some HR officers. "To ensure full implementation of PSC directives and decisions, the Commission has decided to begin appraising all HRMD Directors across Ministries and State Departments," she said.

Kimonye claimed that some HR Directors had previously failed to implement critical decisions, including promotions, secondments, and disciplinary actions. "Some HR officers deliberately ignore or delay implementing Commission decisions, leaving deserving officers in limbo.
