Leaders in Vihiga County have urged the national government to deepen its collaboration with the devolved governments so as to fast-track the completion of critical infrastructure projects across the country.

Led by former Deputy Mayor of the defunct Vihiga Municipality, Jacktone Luvai, they noted that several vital roads in the county remain in dire condition and require urgent intervention.

For instance, Luvai flanked by other local leaders, cited the Majengo-Luanda road and the Shamakhokho-Serem-Gambogi road in Hamisi Sub-county as some of the key routes in need of immediate attention. "We appreciate the effort already made, but much more remains to be done.

These roads are essential links for our people and must be prioritized," Luvai said.
