Juja MP George Koimburi has denied two charges levelled against him, including alleged self-abduction.
The MP was arraigned before Milimani Law Courts on Wednesday after the magistrate BenMark Ekhubi ordered that he be presented in court in the afternoon after visiting a doctor.
Koimburi's defense counsel had told court that he was seeing a doctor and requested that he be allowed to attend court from August 5 for his plea taking. "The first letter here from the hospital indicates that by July 23 he will be through with the hospital matter and he can attend court.
Let him finish with the doctor and be here at 2.00 pm," magistrate Ekhubi ordered.
