President William Ruto has made significant changes to key health institutions as part of the broader strategy to strengthen service delivery within the health sector.

The Head of State, in a gazette notice dated Friday, July 25, appointed Samier Muravvej to be the non-executive chairperson of the Board of the National Syndemic Diseases Control Council.

Following his appointment, Samier is set to take over the new role with immediate effect and will serve at the helm of the council for the next three years.

At the same time, the President appointed Paul Ndungu to be a non-executive chairperson of the Kenya National Public Health Institute for three years beginning Friday, July 25, 2025.
