Silas Jakakimba, a former aide to Raila Odinga, has been appointed to the Kirinyaga University Council, following a series of changes announced by Education CS Julius Ogamba in various university councils.
This appointment marks a new chapter in Jakakimba's career in public service.
He joins Ibrahim Khamis Mutwafy, Ursula Sabina Oyatsi and Margaret Kathambi Gitonga as one of the university council's new members.
The CS made these changes to the leadership of various universities in the country to streamline it.
