Police officers in Kisumu County apprehended five suspects on Monday, July 28, who are believed to be behind a string of criminal activities within the city.
Acting on a tip-off, officers from Kasagam Police Station in Kisumu raided a suspected gang hideout along the banks of the Auji River, near the Daraja Mbili area in Manyatta 'B' Sub-Location.
According to a police report, the five suspects are believed to have been involved in various crimes, including robbery with violence, within the Nyamasaria Estate.
During the operation, the officers searched the suspects' houses and recovered a Honda motorcycle, three machetes, a knife, and a toy gun.
