Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has confirmed that he has received two global awards that recognise his humanitarian efforts.

In a statement on his official X account on Monday, August 4, Sonko said that he was awarded the Civility Voice Diplomats Global Humanitarian Award, which acknowledged his efforts to promote peace, civility, and humanitarian values.

Sonko was then awarded the Ichange National Builders in Action Legacy Award by Builders in Action to recognise his efforts to enhance the lives of others by making personal sacrifices.

The awards were presented separately to the former Nairobi boss at his Upper Hill office by the CVD President, Dominic Obadiah, and the ICN special envoy.
