A Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) ranger was injured by a rhino while on patrol on the morning of Tuesday, August 5.

The incident occurred as the ranger was carrying out his duties, and the KWS team responded swiftly upon being notified.

The service, with crucial support from the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, arranged for the ranger to be airlifted to Nairobi for urgent medical attention.  "This morning, one of our brave corporals was unfortunately injured by a rhino while on patrol.

We responded swiftly, and with crucial support from Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, he was airlifted to Nairobi for medical attention," KWS noted.
