Two sisters were killed in an accident on the Embu-Meru highway on Wednesday evening.
They were hit by a speeding car in the Kairungu area while attempting to cross the road.
The driver fled the scene immediately after the incident.
In a separate incident, a fully loaded matatu overturned on Waiyaki Way in Nairobi, causing a massive traffic snarl-up during the morning rush hour on Thursday, August 7. The crash, which took place near the Cooperation stage, was allegedly caused by a speeding driver who lost control of the vehicle.
