An unknown number of students were injured on Friday morning following a road accident involving a bus carrying students and teachers from Salvation Army Imusutsu High School along the Kisumu-Busia highway in Sirwa Posta, Vihiga County.
The accident occurred at around 7 am and took place after the bus, which was carrying students and teachers, lost control and overturned at the side of the road.
Reports suggest the bus was transporting the students and teachers from Vihiga County to Meru for the Kenya National Music Festival.
The two-week event, which officially commenced on Monday, August 4, features students from schools across the country under the theme, "Enhancing the Creative Economy through Artistic Expression." An accident alert along the road.
