Machakos County is set to be one of Kenya's beacons of sports excellence after Governor Wavinya Ndeti announced the construction of the Machakos Sports Complex Aquatic Centre, a world-class sports stadium.
Taking to an official statement on X, the governor revealed that the ambitious projects have already begun, with phase one construction of an Olympic-size swimming pool ongoing. "I am proud to lead the transformation of sports in our county through the construction of a world-class Sports Complex.
This will be more than just a facility; it will be a landmark of pride and progress for our people," Wavinya announced.
According to the governor, the Olympic-sized swimming pool is among the many world-class features the stadium will have.
