The Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader, Rigathi Gachagua, will return to the country on Thursday, August 21, the party has officially announced.
In an official statement dated Thursday, August 14, the party alleged that there were plots to divert the former DP's plane and eventually assassinate him once he returned to the nation from his United States tour.
DCP claimed that intelligence reports reaching them indicated plans to assassinate Gachagua by subjecting him to a slow and silent killing through poisoning.
The party further alleged that top leaders had planned for Gachagua to be abducted immediately upon his arrival at JKIA, intimidated, brutalised, and placed under house apprehension.
