President William Ruto has unveiled a bag of goodies for Nyanza residents during his latest tour of the region, in his latest charm offensive to capture the political goodwill of the region.
Speaking during the closing ceremony of the ongoing Piny Luo Cultural Festival 2024, Ruto announced the handover of key handouts from the government to the residents of Nyanza County.
Among the notable handouts was the elevation of the Ramogi Campus of Nyang'oma Technical College to a standalone campus.
According to Ruto, the elevation of the institution will help in preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Luo community by enabling learners to gain knowledge from the institution. ''In honour of this event, and the presence of our friend Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, we will then announce that this Ramogi Campus is officially opened today,'' Ruto announced.
